Next up on the calendar is the annual Kinnikinick getaway in the pines, August 8-10.
Joe Motil will lead a work party to put boat-saving bumpers on the Tempe Town Lake docks, beginning at 6am Saturday, July 19. The
city has paid for the dock cushions, but is asking for us to remove
the old, ineffective bumps and put on the new ones.
If 6 am sounds early to you (as it does to me), Joe would be happy to
have you join him as early as you can.
Two major items for the August 12 membership meeting: a report on Joe Motil's trip to Catalina aboard his too-small-for-the-trip Megabyte and crew recruiting night. If you need
crew or would like to crew during one of the upcoming fall race
series, come by the meeting for a "speed dating" night where you can
meet the candidates and see if you can strike up a speedy
relationship.
